Organization Direct helped me make the best use of a large kitchen closet. Now, instead of serving as a "catch-all" where I couldn't find anything, it is functioning as a pantry and a storage area. It has freed up counter space throughout my kitchen as well as space in the kitchen cabinets. It was amazing that this was accomplished with only minimal dollars spent on supplies. Linda introduced herself, and the organizing started in my garage. We discussed what I had in boxes, what must be kept, where was the most convenient place to store what—by the door, in cabinets, or on shelves.
She took pictures, asked for my thoughts and opinions, and commented several times, "This isn't too bad at all." As I listened, I realized that this was a very do-able project. I was very optimistic that our garage "disaster" could become organized, and even a pleasure to behold.
The installation crew then came and measured. The organizing materials were ordered, and we scheduled a convenient date to start and finish. I hired Linda from Organization Direct to help me organize my office. I am usually a do-it-yourself kind of person (and cheap!). But I found that I was so busy with my business, church, and family activities that it was not a priority. Therefore, it wasn’t getting done.
I have to tell you that hiring Linda was the best decision I could have made! My office is used for embroidery, sewing, retail items, crafts, banking…. Everything basically happens in the office. She was a great listener. We talked about what my vision of what the perfect office looked like and we set goals for different areas of the room.
Linda was very gentle about my attachment to certain items. As the day(s) progressed, it became much easier and clearer in why I was holding on to certain items and how I could “gift” someone with them. It was really quite freeing and uplifting.
My business has flourished with Linda’s help. I can find items in my office and everything has a home. I don’t have the overwhelming sensation I used to have walking into my office….of all the things that needed to be done. It has given me a sense of peace and purpose.
