DECISION = CHANGE
Now that YOU have made the decision to declutter your home, office, life....share that with your friends and family and put it in writing.  I Sally Jones, will set a daily goal for myself to reduce clutter items in my home.  (Start with 15-30 minutes a day).  Each day set aside the time to keep your goal.

Do Not allow Anyone to assist with your collection of clutter.  Instead of them purchasing items for your birthday, etc...have them take you out to lunch or dinner.  Don't allow them to be your excuse for Your clutter!  They will enjoy You much more when you are happier!

HOME OFFICE ADVICE

The concept is an "office" within your "home".  DO NOT make your "home" your "office".  Keep everything work related within the confines of your office!  You will be amazed at the results!

TEN WAYS TO KEEP ORGANIZED

1. If something can be accomplished within 5 minutes of less, do it immediately, i.e. loading the dishwasher.

2. At the end of every day make a list of at least 6 things that need to be accomplished for the following day.  Make it your goal to accomplish that list every day.

3. Set a schedule of household “chores” for each family member on a daily basis.

4. Sort through your mail on a daily basis.  Immediately toss junk mail, catalogs, advertising materials that you don’t need.  To reduce the amount of "junk mail" that you receive visit  www.obviously.com/junkmail or www.optoutprescreen.com.

5. Don’t throw anything on the floor…then you don’t have to pick it up.

6. Know how many hours of sleep you need each night and work toward always resting for that amount of hours.  You will function better with the proper amount of sleep.

7. Do NOT overextend yourself.  It is ok to say “no”.

8. Stay focused on what you can achieve.  If you have an area which may require some time to get it organized, break that area down into small goals.  Work on a small portion of the area until it is completed.

9. Let everything in your home have a “home".  Put everything in its place.

10. If you haven’t used an item within the last year, it is ok to release it to a yard sale to make yourself money or donate it to the charity of your choice.

IMPORTANT

The best way to keep an organized look to your home is to keep flat services clean of clutter.  Don't let piles build on your kitchen table, desk, floor, etc.  Keep your pile management under control.  Find a place for everything and put everything in its place.

VERY IMPORTANT

Photocopy all the important items in your wallet. Mark a file "wallet".  That will save you so much anxiety, stress and frustration if your wallet is ever stolen or lost.  Be proactive, don't let identify theft affect you and your family.
